Our Story
How Sweet Art Bake Shop was Whipped Up...
This business was actually just a happy accident. I never intended to start a cake business. I made a cake for a friend's birthday in March of 2013 and posted a picture of it on Facebook. When I posted that picture, people saw it, loved it, and orders starting rolling in. Each time I would post pictures of new cakes, I got more orders. I was completely shocked that people were brave enough to trust me to make their cakes for their important weddings and events. As my clients' confidence grew in me, something sparked in me to start feeling that same confidence in myself. I suddenly fell in love with cake design. I felt like I had found my calling and finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. Making cakes and sweets has become something that I am completely passionate about. Our business has now grown so much that we are now booked solid months in advance. We have been featured on countless wedding websites, featured in bridal magazines, been on KTLA news, and we have won Best Wedding Cake Bakery by California Wedding Day Magazine

My background is in the Wedding & Events industry and also the Design industry. Before making cakes, I have been a freelance graphic & website designer for everything from business branding and websites to wedding stationary. I have also been a wedding planner, worked as a wedding dress bridal consultant and I also created line of beautiful handmade bridal bouquets made from vintage jewelry. I am in love with being in the "Industry of Love".
That's the first time I got my hands on a Kitchenaid Mixer... And now I just so happen to have that same exact one.
That's my little "SweetArt" on his first birthday digging into a cake. This just might be my favorite picture of all time. I'm so lucky to be married to a photographer who takes such fun pictures of our boy.
